My son told me they didn't teach multiplication tables at his school. I thought this was strange and have always felt like being good at mental math is an advantage. I noticed he struggled to easily do simple multiplcation on the spot.
I always loved the user experience and daily practice aspect of monkeytype.com, so I decided to build a mental math type website inspired by it.
